Cameron Maybin

10 years ago I was at Yankee Stadium when Cameron Maybin made his Major League debut with the Detroit Tigers, Curtis Granderson as his teammate. Maybin and got his first career hit and homerun off Roger Clemens that Saturday afternoon. Clemens stayed true to form and drilled Maybin with a pitch later in the game which we talk about. A few teams and years later Cameron who is now a member of the Anaheim Angels speaks with me about that day 10 years ago, being able to persevere throughout his career through ups and downs, what it's like to be one of only 63 African-American ball players in Major League Baseball, the battle over excitement in the game, and growing up a baseball prodigy and being drafted out of highschool.
