Continuation of my first post on the project I am doing on the decline of African-American’s in major league baseball. This excerpt right here focuses on the greatest player in Atlanta braves history, Hank Aaron and what it was like for him chasing Babe Ruth’s homerun record in 1974. Then we take a look at Barry Bonds’ pursuit of Aaron’s record in 2007 and how the peers of both Bonds and Aaron put the situation in perspective.
